Degrees for the Money

Right now it's exam and finals time. This means that the stress level (unless all of your work has been turned in) is at an all time high. Luckily today is a holiday (Good Friday) so we have a mandatory break right before our tests. I've always thought that the cumulative work during the semester should be worth more than the finals because suppose you get nervous and forget everything you've studied for but you were doing great all semester. If that final is worth 40-50% of your overall grade, you're basically screwed. We get these degrees for better career options but at what price? Sure our knowledge and critical thinking improves, but if time management isn't your strong suit, then college/university is that much more difficult.
It's true when they say pick two: Sleep, a Social Life, or Good Grades. It's also possible to balance if you choose the right friends in your social life who help you with your schoolwork and study with you or you go to bed on time, but you may not get the 4.0 GPA you were aspiring towards. Just remember that scholarships are very easy to lose if you lose focus and classes aren't cheap, especially when you're paying out of pocket. Even if you get sick of school, still try to get your work done. Anything is better than a 0 or an F.
